june 1st, 2026

been trying to sit down and write a blog post for the past month and unfortunately nothing is coming to mind the way i want it to... which changes now! not much has happened since the last post, at least nothing significant, so it's been hard sitting down to write anything at all because of how little has happened.

i havent touched my switch much recently which is unfortunate but the joycon drift on my switch has gotten so so bad that it's almost unusable on some games (3D all-stars collection, cough), which sucks because it's a great console and i love playing it a bunch. i recently got Persona 5 Tactica for it and it plays great tho so i have something to play after i play Persona 5... oh yeah! i played my first ever persona game! it was Persona 4 Golden, which is an expanded re-release of the original game and its amazing, one of my favorite games. the murder mystery aspect is so much fun and the twist near the end left me shocked, which is one of the best things a game can ever possibly do. after going from yakuza (another great rpg[?] series from SEGA) to this a few years later is very interesting but cool nonetheless, both are awesome. i plan on playing the mainline games... at least 3, 4 and 5 at least... not sure about the first two, as well as the fun side games such as the rhythm games (4's is amazing) and the fighting games too. im a bit biased towards 4 because its aesthetic is my favorite out of all of them and it has my favorite characters so far. im sure this will change with upcoming playthroughs of the other games but everything about this series so far is absolutely amazing. ive been going thru the megaten wiki for hours now because of how sick and fun it is to look thru, there's so many interesting things about this series, i can't wait to read the mangas eventually, im sure those will be fun. ive seen a bit of the persona 4 anime and that looks really cool.

what else is new... hm.... ive been thinking a lot about 2022 again, for some reason. im not really sure why either but i feel nostalgic for it though wehn looking back it was just me being 17... i want to say its because i felt more "alive" but that really isn't the case, i hated every single day in that year, i guess i just miss being a kpop fan, which is really funny to think about. other than that i really don't have a clue why im thinking so heavily about that time, i was more active creatively then than i am now? that's the only thing i can think of. but i can change something like that with ease so i'm still not sure what the big issue is. im doing everything back then now but i guess it feels "simpler" back then though it really doesn't (or should). it's kinda dumb to think about but i guess that's life. i guess the only difference is that i live by myself (which sucks).

i need to clear some storage! not really but my screenshots folder on my laptop is a bit messy and i want to tidy it up a bit because it annoys me a bit that it's not clean (speaking of which, fix up the blogger profile, again). but it should be easy because i love doing file management again, i should also fix up the sakuvalor website too as its something i care a lot about too, though im not sure how to, i'll figure it out.

ive been using apple music's discovery station recently and it's really cool! ive been finding a lot of music i love as a result. a few artists ive found thru apple music are Sayako, Lil Shine and Edward Skeletrix. all are dope and im glad i found them thru apple music. a ton of good music is out there and its so much fun to go thru and listen to them all. i don't talk about it much but music is really one of the greatest mediums of art that there is, if not the best. i love music a lot and talking about it. everything regarding music is super sick and awesome to have any association with (ftr, persona 4's music is probably top 5 video game soundtracks ever).

i seriously need to catch up on manga... i havent sat down and read anything in a bit. im currently reading witchriv and Tsumiki Ogami's Not-So Oridinary Life and theyre both so peak. some of the best manga ive read in a hot minute, so i have to catch up eventually. its still morning so i might around then. i seriously need to get back on this stuff.

that about wraps it up, sorry for the shorter type of post but outside of what i mentioned there's not really much to talk about but i still wanted to post and also write about persona. by the way, the new le sserafim album is great! that's all i have to say. see you next time everyone!

may 3rd, 2026

a lot to talk about but it's all positive :D !!! very happy about that. in the midst of irl stuff being a nuisance (never ending it seems...) ive had some awesome stuff happen! yay! for starters: hololive! ive been getting more and more invested in hololive as time goes on and it's really cool. i am a big fan of the EN branch and a bigger fan of both advent and justice, both have my EN oshis. advent is really cool, i love fuwamoco and shiori is also cool, im very happy i follow them because i haven't had a negative moment with them. i have a LOT to say about justice tho, my goodness. one of my favorite units possibly ever. gigi!! gigi is awesome, i love her stories and how she acts, it's very very relatable and it makes me like her a lot. i don't really like talking about my personality because it's not something i particularly think about deeply but it also comes off like "guys!! look at me!! im different!" which is something i despise, but watching gigi and seeing bits of myself in her is super cool and it makes me feel better about myself and who i am, which i guess is the best thing your oshi can make you do. her views on art being super important and helpful during your bad times is also super super important to me because i feel the same exact way about art... i want to stop typing so i can go watch gigi clips now, but i wont because i love writing this blog. anyways, her views on a lot of the stuff i like is similar to mine so it's fun watching her, and she's really funny! i love her more absurd sense of humor and her "i'll do whatever i want" attitude because, as i said, something i really really relate too, and her solo song, I'll Still Be Here is amazing and very touching, it makes me very emotional. i recently learned that the song what the song was about thru clips and it makes it a lot more touching song, im listening to it rn and it's kinda hard to not start tearing up TT. i love gigi so much :( one of my favorite creators and vtubers, i hope to stay with her until the end of time, proud grem front and back. cecilia is also super awesome and i love her dynamic with gigi, it's very fun to watch them interact with eachother because of how good they're able to get along, it's like they were bounded to end up by eachother's side at some point in life, its's honestly super cool. their dynamic is so sweet and amazing. also the name autofister is really funny. raora is super sick too, i love her voice so much (tbqh all of justice have amazing voices). i really love her italian accent, it's super cute and warms my heart everytime i listen to it. erb is also super cool too! i'm not that familiar with her if im going to be real but i have very much enjoyed everything of her ive encountered. justice is awesome, their music is super good too, i can listen to Above Below on repeat on hours and still have fun as i did for the first time. i wish there was more justice merch (that's affordable at least TT) but i'm super happy there's any at all. i mostly talked about gigi but i can go on and on about how much i love her, so that's nothing new. i even have a membership on youtube... that's some real deal stuff right there. i haven't been disappointed by what i've gotten tho, so that's awesome. thinking about her makes me happy lollll. interesting. that's enough holo talk tho... let's move on

i got a switch! i was seeing a lot of people on twitter play tomodachi life and got intrigued as i used to play the first one on the 3DS very heavily and it was so, so worth it. i've been having a really fun time. my island is super cool because everyone so far is either my friends or vtubers so watching them all interact with eachother is super funny and cool. my island is super sick and i cant wait to add more people as time goes on, i have a lot of idea: matt and jay from nirvanna the band, the rest of my hololive oshis (only have 4, but want to add more) and a few more rappers. the game is super sick so far though and i'm really glad and happy i was able to get my hands on it, it's sitting next to me right now as i type this! i got the iconic red and blue switches though but since this console is nearly 10 years old and its a first batch, there's drift unfortunately, though the controller i got works perfectly fine and i like using it more as the only game i actually used the joycons for was tomodachi life. it's more precise too, especially on Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 64 (both INCREDIBLE games, im almost finished with Odyssey and it's a near perfect game). i love this console a lot, so i'm super happy i was able to get it. very fun to play after a long stressful day at work or whenever i'm really bored. fun console. i have about a handful of games for it and they're all first party (i prefer to play 3rd party games on either my ps4 or laptop) so it's good. i'm glad i decided to treat myself to a switch because this is really fun, i finally feel like im doing something worthy of my time instead of just mindlessly procrastinate about doing things, because when i'm more i can just get up and do something else. really awesome stuff. i really love playing sm64 again as it's been a long, long time since i've done so. it should be obvious how i got my games, in that case i'll say: i need to get more n64 games on it. hmmm... what else?

i saw lucy bedroque! i bought tickets back around the same time the announcement came out and me and my friend were super super lucky as the tickets sold out like immediately. the concert was alright. the merch line was so so long though, lasted about 3-4 hours and throughout the entire show, so im glad i was at the end and was able to get 2 tees and a CD. the shirts are awesome, i got a black tour tee and the anime backstage hologram shirt, both in L and XL respectively. the shirts are large, the L shirt fits me perfectly and XL is loose on me (for reference, i'm 5,9 and wear XL normally). the show itself was pretty good, i know i said it was alright. kuru was amazing, every song was hype and had an element to move to and it was super sick to experience him live as this was my first ever exposure to him, imo, the best set of the night as it's turned me into a big kuru fanboy now, love his music to bits and pieces. also to hear a loona reference live in concert feels like a full circle moment considering i started this blog as a dweeb for this type of stuff. i wasn't too crazy about the DJ set 9lives did, though i did like a lot of the songs they played, especially the Jane Remover song, that was fire. not a big fan of them opening a pit after what feels like every single song, other than that it was rather fine, least favorite set of the night. lucy bedroque's set was also okay, i'm not sure if it was me or i'm not as tapped into lucy's discography like that anymore but nothing was clicking with me outside of unmusique which is a bummer because a lot of it sounds rly good, but i wasn't aware of what they were so i have no strong opinions about it. i think the music wasn't hitting as much, at least physically, it just sounded like i was listening to it and not being shaken or moved by it (is that the right phrasing?), which was fine. he was a great performer nonetheless, gave it his all it felt but unfortunately it just wasn't hitting for me, which is unfortunate, that's still the goat tho, all of them are. im SUPER happy with the merch tho, looks great and feels amazing to wear. i don't have time to take pictures but i will either tomorrow or later tonight, depends on how work goes.

that's all i have to say for now!! super cool stuff happening and i hope it continues! hope everyone has a great day and love for everyone.

march 21st, 2026

one week since the last post but ive been thinking about the blog nonstop and what to write for it. i fouund a CRT sunday! my friend was taking me to work when he spotted it on the side of the road and since the signs said free, we took it. it works amazingly! the colors are great and the picture is amazing. i was fairly surprised as i thought it would be dim and slightly faulted but it was perfect! i remember being scared to carry it up the stairs because i live on the second floor. i was terrified but me and my friend got it up with no problems. ive been using my Dreamcast on it since i've gotten it and it's an absolute dream to have, looks amazing and i want to use it more and more as a result. i plan on getting more games this upcoming week because theres so much cool stuff on the Dreamcast.

the Dreamcast is the coolest console of all time, in my opinion. a great selection of games and some of my favorite tech ever in a console, it was truly ahead of its' time. such a shame it ended up being SEGA's last effort with a game console. we could've had so much more :/. i love this console so much, its a masterpiece. i need to get a few more retro consoles (not really, just a PS3 but that's really it,) because they're really fun to play, i have a PS2 i haven't messed with in years but its one of my favorite things i own and i can't wait to play with it again when i move back in with my parents because it's going to be so much fun. my current set-up right now is a DVD player i found at Goodwill for like 10 bucks (i think i mentioned it on an old blog post, actually) from 2001 that's supposedly high-tech and great quality for its time.. and to no surprise, it holds up surprisingly well. it even came with the remote! its a fun little oddity to have. it looks amazing on my TV (for obvious reasons), so i'm pretty happy with it. the remote even has angle buttons and i love that cause the Beastie Boys DVDs i have take full advantage of stuff like that so it adds to the experience (Three MC and One DJ angle of Mix Master Mike scratching is one of the coolest things you could possibly watch). i can't wait to experience the detour mode of the Awesome... I Shot That! DVD.

i haven't been reading much manga as a result of messing with the CRT i got and the DVD player and part of me is kinda upset by that but the other is kinda happy i haven't been "forcing" myself to read it, the current series i'm reading is called I Don't Want This Love Game To End and the first volume is pretty good. i like a lot of the aspects and it seems like a fairly easy read so maybe at some point this week i actually lock in and finish the manga because i know it can take me like one night to properly finish it. i haven't been too crazy about manga recently, unfortunately. i hope i lock back in again so i can read and read like i always want to because there's so much out there i wanna read and finish (like Dragon Ball, lol). i saw Kaiju No. 8 vol. 15 came out so i'm probably going to pick it up when i get paid this week, on top of the Dreamcast stuff so it's going to be a very fun few days. i really enjoy keeping my manga series up to date, it's fun. the only series i don't have up to date is Gachiakuta but that's because i haven't found motivation for it for some reason even though i absolutely loved the first two chapters. i need to pick up some more Junji Ito, always good to give respects to the mangaka that got you into manga into the first place, my copy of Tomie was actually 5 bucks and it's super cool! it's been a want of mine for YEARS now so to have it for that cheap was absolutely perfect. i need to Rai Rai Rai, i own the volumes but i haven't read any of it yet but i really like the art and the premise so i'll eventually get to it. still waiting for Yotsuba vol. 16.

this one is going to take a chunk of the post because i have a lot to speak about regarding these two topics, k-pop and hololive. i don't know if i can do k-pop anymore, i've had this sentiment for years now but always stuck around for some reason but this time it's not looking too great. the only groups i like aren't very active anymore outside of ILLIT but it's very easy to just focus on them. the more i get into hololive the less i want to interact with anything k-pop related, for some reason. it's hard to properly explain but as i get older, the less k-pop just seems appealing and how its shaped itself has drawn me more and more away, that and i need to get over the fact it's not 2022 anymore. i guess a gleaming example of this is the fact when im out of the house, one of the main things on my mind is wanting to get home asap and watch hololive stuff, which i haven't felt about k-pop in a long, long time. i have like 7 videos i added to my Watch Later on YouTube last night that are all hololive. i have like 13 videos in my Watch Later that's all hololive and i actually intend to watch them instead of putting them off. stuff like that is so nice to have and its rewarding compared to what k-pop has done recently and how much i loved it. did you know Super ILLIT is airing? it was finally brought back after like a year but i can't bring myself to wanna watch an episode because they're SO long. 30-40 minute episodes, i want to be excited about it but i really miss the episodes that were like 15-20 minutes so much. i've noticed a lot of in-house k-pop content has gotten longer and longer and it's driving me away, i had to drop 123 IVE because each episode was getting closer to being an hour long and i just couldn't do it anymore, and i LOVED it! so imagine how i feel about Super ILLIT... it's just becoming more clear to me though that i should probably move on. i still like a lot of the old groups and still listen to their stuff, but the whole idol thing and variety content side i've fallen off of, a lot of it still the same but i think i just grew out of it. it's saddening for me because it used to be my life and i don't regret my fandom in any capacity, but i'm getting older. which is why i watch a bunch of anime women. the irony. i'm not really sure what about hololive appeals to me, i think it's the personalities because i like a lot of them, my oshi is Korone! i love her, she's my favorite thing ever right now, her design is so cute and her personality is amazing to watch on stream because she's really funny most of the time. also her english is suuuuuper cute and i can watch it all day. i multi oshi both Korone and Pekora and it's kinda unfortunate because there's not much content between the both of them as they both stated that they don't talk much outside of work which is kinda sad, but makes sense, they both seem really introverted. i get something out of hololive that i haven't gotten out of k-pop in years, fun. it's so much fun to watch these idols and i feel really happy engaging with their content the way that i do. also the music is amazing, i'm a complete sucker for the j-pop sound so being able to find a idol and j-pop thing i'm super into like this and has great music is just sublime, i feel so rewarded for being a fan and it's just a feeling i won't ever appreciate enough. i even started collecting the card game! i have Okayu, Korone and La+ Darkness but i hope to have a lot of my oshis soon because they're cool to own cards of. one of my favorite parts of them being virtual is that there's also a lot more they can do for content, for example, they have a short form series called Holo no Grafitti and it's so much fun to watch since they're animated, they're able to do a LOT more than live action can and it's fun to watch, i've only seen a handful of episodes but they're absolutely fun to watch and i can't wait to watch all 300+ (TT) episodes at some point. god, i love being into this stuff so much. i wish k-pop was more opening and did stuff like that for variety content, 3-4 minute short episodes of groups doing a bunch of stupid stuff just because it's entertaining and funny. they already kinda do that but i feel doing it in shorter segments would be more fun and a way to get more stuff out properly. anyways i love hololive Gamers, what a great unit. everyone in the unit is entertaining and i love their animal motif a lot. very cute and adorable. that's all i really have to say for now regarding these two topics but it's really interesting how it's turning out. i hope i feel moderately better about k-pop in the future but it's not looking too bright. oh well, more for hololive! yay!

i don't have much more to say at the moment, which is unfortunate because i loved writing this but alas, i have to get ready for work soon so i will be on my way. i love writing for the blog, feels incredibly rewarding every single time that i do it. love it. i need to fix up the theme of the blog so i'll do that shortly after publishing this post. anyways, toodles! hope everyone has a great day.

moving

sitting in my bedroom for the last time typing this. its a really weird feeling because this is the place where i got into hololive, persona...
